Lacnola Lactation Granola Salmonella Recall: Lots, Dates and Refund Details

The Hampton Grocers, Inc. of Montauk, New York, is recalling Lacnola Lactation Granola sold nationwide through mail orders, the company’s website, Amazon, and other online retailers. Consumers should check the package, UPC, lot code, and expiration date. The recall does not cover every granola product or every Lacnola package. It identifies a pink 8-ounce stand-up pouch with UPC 850035324554 and two specific lot-and-expiration combinations.

The notice says the lot code and expiration date are printed in black ink on the upper-left area of the back of the bag. A shopper who cannot confidently identify the lot should use the official notice and contact the seller or company before consuming the product.

Why the granola was recalled

The company says an ingredient supplier notified it that a sample of one of the supplier’s products tested positive for Salmonella. The affected granola contains organic moringa powder supplied as an ingredient. That notification prompted the recall. The notice does not say every bag tested positive, and it does not identify a reported illness connected to the granola.
