November 5 follow-up: use CPSC’s current Bose recall address

In a later November 5 check, CPSC’s Bose notice changed the registration address in its remedy paragraph to www.bose.com/support/s1-battery-recall. BadPD’s earlier source capture is preserved. The unit estimates, serial prefixes, reported incidents and remedy instructions otherwise match that capture. This roundup originally linked readers to the CPSC notice rather than printing its earlier registration address.

Use the current agency-listed contact when seeking a replacement. BadPD has not registered a battery, submitted consumer information or verified a completed replacement. The address correction does not change the warning to stop using recalled battery packs or the separate disposal instructions.

November 5 home recalls: Five new CPSC notices cover Bose speaker batteries, Gourmia ovens, Baby Brezza sterilizer dryers, Arlopu slide playsets and HAUOMS dressers. This is a product-by-product guide to the federal notices, not a claim that every item from those brands is unsafe. Match the identifiers before starting the listed remedy.

Source status: The original November 5, 2026 notices were checked for this roundup. Incident totals below are reports attributed to the agency and firms. BadPD has not audited individual incidents, inspected a household’s product, tested a recall portal or verified a completed refund, repair or replacement. The five notices share one federal publisher; they are not five independent investigations of one event.

Bose S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ battery packs: seven serial prefixes

CPSC’s Bose notice, recall 27-065, lists about 634,759 battery packs in the United States, plus about 35,400 sold in Canada. It covers packs sold with S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ portable speaker systems and packs sold separately. The affected 17-digit battery serial numbers start with one of these six-digit prefixes: 083723, 078352, 084105, 078591, 078592, 084106 or 086409. The label is on the bottom of the battery pack.

The firm reported seven instances of packs melting, smoking or catching fire, including six property-damage reports. No injuries were reported. The published hazard is overheating and ignition. CPSC directs consumers to remove affected packs and stop using the packs. It says speakers may still be used on AC power once the recalled pack is removed. That is not permission to keep using a recalled battery.

Use the original Bose recall notice to reach the replacement process and provide the battery serial number. Bose’s recall phone is 800-278-1083. CPSC warns against putting these recalled lithium-ion packs in trash, curbside recycling or ordinary retail battery bins. Contact the local household hazardous-waste office before taking a pack there, and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If not, ask the municipality for guidance.

The sales period runs from December 2017 through July 2026. Individual packs cost $100 to $160; speaker systems with packs cost $700. The notice lists nationwide stores and online sellers. Those dates and prices describe the recall’s sales trail, not a test of whether a particular buyer qualifies for a replacement.

Gourmia GTF7530 ovens: doors can close on hands

CPSC recall 27-069 covers about 175,951 Gourmia stainless-steel nine-slice digital air fryer ovens. Check model GTF7530 and UPC 810002862779 on the packaging. The notice also places model GTF7530 and codes 3021 to 0126 on the back label. It describes two spring-loaded glass French doors with metal handles. Do not infer a wider model range from the brand alone.

The firm reported 57 instances of doors closing unexpectedly while people retrieved food, resulting in 40 burn incidents involving hands or wrists. These are the published report totals, not BadPD’s independent injury count. CPSC says the doors can close when bumped. The remedy is a free mailed repair kit containing an added doorstop and installation instructions.

Stop using the affected ovens and contact Gourmia. The dated CPSC oven notice lists 888-834-0092 and the firm’s recall page. Sales were at Target stores nationwide and Target.com from October 2021 through June 2026, for about $150. The notice identifies The Steelstone Group, doing business as Gourmia, as importer. A repair offer is not evidence that an oven has already been repaired.

Baby Brezza dryers: unplug before the listed destruction steps

Recall 27-072 covers SuperFast Sterilizer Dryers with model numbers BRZ0083, BRZ0154 and BRZ0156. Check the label on the bottom. CPSC lists about 29,000 U.S. units and an additional 4,500 Canadian units. The firm reported 32 instances of overheating or melting plastic housing, with no reported injuries. The notice warns of burns from handling hot surfaces while the dryers are plugged in and operating.

Stop using a recalled dryer and contact Baby Brezza for a free replacement, including shipping. The original dryer notice describes registration and a recall form, then unplugging the appliance, cutting its power cord and uploading photos. It asks for photos of the model label, destroyed appliance and return authorization number at recall@babybrezza.com. Follow that official sequence; do not cut a cord while an appliance is plugged in.

After uploading the photos, dispose of the recalled dryer under local and state rules. The recall phone is 888-527-9824. Listed sales were through TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and named online stores from January 2024 through October 2026 for $160 to $180. BadPD has not entered a consumer’s details, registered a claim or confirmed a replacement shipment.

The named online sellers are babybrezza.com, target.com and babylist.com. A matching seller alone does not identify a recalled dryer: retain the model check. The three model numbers, bottom label and product description are the relevant scope in this notice, not every appliance used for baby bottles.

Arlopu playsets: two model locations, a repair kit

Recall 27-066 covers about 10,318 Arlopu slide playsets. Model KT-CS17 appears under the elevated platform. Model LY-31 appears on the upper back panel behind the slide. The plastic sets have multiple activity parts and were sold in several colors. Amazon.com and Walmart.com sales ran from April 2023 through August 2026, at $90 to $130.

CPSC warns that openings can trap a child’s head or neck after the torso passes through. It also identifies a basketball-net loop hazard on KT-CS17. The firm reported one entrapment incident with abrasions to a child’s neck. Stop using the sets, store them away from children and contact Arlopu for a free repair kit with redesigned panels, hoops and instructions.

The official playset notice lists arlopu_support@163.com and 800-657-9218. Consumers are asked for a product photo showing the model number. After completing the repair, mark the removed parts “RECALLED” with permanent marker and dispose of those removed parts. Do not confuse that instruction with destruction of the whole playset.

HAUOMS dressers: check packaging SKU AJ_DJ504298_1

CPSC recall 27-068 lists about 1,392 black wooden eight-drawer dressers sold on Amazon.com from May 2025 through September 2026, for about $150. The notice title uses HAUOMS; its description says HAUOM-branded. It gives packaging SKU AJ_DJ504298_1, dimensions of about 27.6 by 15.8 by 59.1 inches and weight of about 112.4 pounds. Use those details and the original product photo, not the title spelling alone.

CPSC identifies a tip-over and entrapment hazard and a violation of the clothing-storage-unit standard. No incidents or injuries were reported. The official Jiastfeng notice says to stop using recalled dressers immediately if they are not wall-anchored, keep them where children cannot access them and contact Jiastfeng for a full refund.

The firm asks consumers to mark the top, front and sides “RECALLED,” remove every drawer and send photos of the marked, disassembled dresser to recall@hauoms.com. Then dispose of it. The notice’s conditional stop-use wording does not establish that anchoring cancels the recall or provides the refund remedy.

Accountability and update ledger

November 5, 2026: Five original notices reviewed; identifiers, counts and remedy sequences kept distinct. Missing from this report are state-specific distribution totals and completed-remedy counts. No consumer information was collected and no claim was submitted. Future agency corrections or documented remedy failures need dated updates, not silent changes to these instructions. The featured image is an editorial text graphic, not an incident or product photograph.
