BadPD articles should identify the source of a claim, distinguish alleged, charged, convicted, sentenced, settled, released, and confirmed, and link readers to source material whenever possible.

Symbolic editorial images on BadPD are not depictions of events, people, victims, suspects, or scenes unless an article says otherwise.

Good-cop profiles require owner approval before drafting and must be more than a department press release.
